First Edition. London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1937. Royal 8vo. Original blue publisher's cloth in original price-clipped dust jacket. xvi, 295pp. 126 pages with 63 photographic plates. 2 folding maps between section II & III.

Bound in blue publisher's buckram. Original price-clipped dust jacket. Spine lettered and ruled in gilt. Cover margins in blind. Very good in good dust jacket. Dust jacket spine browned, covers foxed, edges a bit rubbed and chipped. Cover boards have some mild rubbing at corners and some markings. Contents very good, some foxing throughout, more prominent at edges. All material present. Photographic plate section in fine condition, paper remains glossy and bright. Folding maps in good order with some foxing.
